Cavallo Point is at the heart of the Bay Area's best. Cavallo Point guests can hike, bike, fish, tour and taste their way across San Francisco Bay. At our doorstep are more than 80,000 acres of surrounding open space, including one of America's largest national parks in an urban area. The world-class attractions of San Francisco, Marin, Berkeley, and the celebrated wine country of Napa and Sonoma are all a short distance away.

Complimentary Activities

Cavallo Point offers guests many complimentary activities, which vary by day. These include yoga at our Healing Arts Center, olive oil or tea tastings and fireside chats with Park Service experts. Frequent walking tours or hikes give an inside look at highlights at Cavallo Point. Guided by experts, these include the Art Walking Tour to learn about the lodge's distinctive collection, the Green Design/Green Living Walk to understand our environmental initiatives, and the Golden Bridge Walk.

Enjoy kayaking tours and lessons on Richardson Bay, bike rentals and bike tours across the Golden Gate Bridge and along the San Francisco waterfront, hikes on the Golden Gate National Recreation Area trails, field trips to Alcatraz or Muir Woods, and a variety of art lessons or cooking classes.
