Cavallo Point's unique location within and relationship to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area invites guests to experience a dramatic sense of place in both a natural and urban, and historic and contemporary setting. The Art Program for Cavallo Point offers guests the opportunity to contemplate the natural world and humankind's relationship to it through a contemporary collection of fine art.

The photography collection includes innovative work by established and emerging photographers, with a focus on Bay Area locations. This reflects the collection's overall thematic direction -- to bring nature to the guest's doorstep in transformed and provocative ways. The selected artwork presents a dramatic vocabulary inviting guests to examine, investigate and engage in a dialogue with the rich landscape surrounding them.
