Tibet: The Place, The People, The Wisdom, a benefit event and program led by Robert Thurman
This memorable program begins with a special benefit hosted by Robert Thurman, President of the Tibet House, President of the American Institute of Buddhist Studies and Professor of Indo-Tibetan Buddhist Studies at Columbia University. The featured lecture is "The Truth About Tibet - And Why It Matters So Much." HEALING ARTS CENTER & SPA


After a day of hiking, biking or adventure around the Bay, guests are invited to relax in the heated basking pool or sip herbal concoctions in the Tea Bar. Our Healing Arts staff looks forward to assisting you in scheduling spa services. Please see our website for a full menu of treatments.

PROGRAM PARTICIPATION BY LOCAL RESIDENTS


Our adventures and programs are designed primarily for overnight guests. However, subject to availability, local residents may be able to participate on a wait-listed, first-come/first-serve basis. We encourage you to sign up early. The full program rate plus a $50 per day surcharge applies. We will inform you 30-45 days prior to the program start date whether we can accommodate your request.

ACCOMMODATIONS


Cavallo Point features 142 uniquely-appointed historic and contemporary guest rooms and suites. The 68 historic accommodations are located in beautifully-restored, turn-of-the-century Colonial Revival buildings. The 74 contemporary lodgings are offered in new buildings of sustainable design, most with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Our reservations staff will be pleased to help you select accommodations that satisfy your preferences.

Program package rates do not include room accommodations. However, to celebrate the launch of our 2008 Learning Vacations, we invite you to stay with two exceptional offers:*

  • Sign up with a friend & receive complimentary lodging for two for the length of your program in a Bayside Queen or similar room. The value of regular room rates & lodging fees ranges from $855 or more for a 3-night program to $1425 or more for a 5-night program.
  • Sign up alone & receive one night’s accommodations free. If you wish, a friend may share your room.
