About Il Borro Wines

Over three decades ago, the Ferragamo family acquired the Il Borro Estate in the Valdarno hills within the Tuscany region of Italy, and began an extensive restoration for the purpose of enhancing the history, traditions and natural surroundings, including its vineyards. In 1999, its first wine vintage was produced, with just 1,000 bottles. Authenticity, respect for the environment, culture and enhancement of the local expertise are the pillars of the Estate’s sustainable philosophy which dominate each and every decision. Today, Il Borro is a carbon negative estate, fully powered by solar energy and all of its agricultural products, especially the wines, are certified organic and produced using biodynamic practices.
